Events are one of the best ways to engage new customers, learn and share industry knowledge and generate leads. Event videos promote and recap the event or can also be shown during the event as part of the onsite content.


type 1 — opening and closing

An event opening video sets the tone and expectations for the event. It should showcase the opportunities, purpose and value attendees will receive from attending. It also builds excitement for the event. An event closing video shows appreciation to the attendees, reiterates the products and services the company provides and encourages people to attend the event again next year.

 

Sales Summit 2020 opening video

The theme of Sales Summit 2020 was “break away.” The video shows inspiring people in history who broke away from the norm and pushed the world forward. The video sets the tone for the event and creates excitement for the attendees.


type 2 — event promo

Think of an event promo video as a movie trailer for your event. It’s often short, energetic and gets attendees familiar with and excited about your event. The promos usually announce keynote speakers, main discussion topics, how to register, travel options and pricing information. Videos like this can be posted to a website or social media platforms and sent to registrants' emails in the weeks leading up to the event.

This video shows a sneak peak at the event. It covers information about the location, main topics and keynote speakers.


type 3 — virtual event presentation

Presentation videos are generally for virtual events. To keep the live streaming high quality, sometimes it’s better to pre-record the presentation session and stitch together the speaker’s delivery with their slides in post-production.

This is an excerpt from a one-hour session video that was prerecorded before the live-streaming event. In post-production, the speakers’ delivery and presentation slides were dropped in. Animation was added to the slide content and transitions.


type 4 — event highlight recap

An event highlight video summarizes the purpose and key message of the event. This type of video captures significant moments from the event and brings them together in an engaging way for viewers. It can also be used to tease the following year’s event by showing next year’s theme.

 

Sales Summit 2019 highlight

This recap video shows snapshots of the important moments and activities that happened during the event. The latter half transitions to tease the audience with upcoming theme.


Event motion package

An event motion package includes all the visual elements that can take your events from average to awesome. This includes slick titles, seamless transitions and lower thirds that give an eye-catching introduction to your guests.

For a virtual event, if you choose to work with an outside live streaming agency, Creative Services will provide the motion package with assets themed for the specific event. The package is a folder consisting of videos and templates that outside editors can modify. It usually includes:

  • Short session opener and closing

  • Title animation

  • Lower thirds

  • Transitions/bumpers
