Experian’s #IYKYK (If You Know, You Know) Pitch Competition is the main event under a broader Experian program called B.A.L.L. (Be A Legacy Leader) for Life. The branding we worked on for these programs that aim to teach financial literacy to young people in underserved communities brings the fun, competitive nature of sports into the financial education sphere.
The phrase behind the acronym B.A.L.L. takes a spin on a common sports term for being successful to challenge young people to start making smart financial decisions. Rough textures and colorful splashes reminiscent of urban street art are paired alongside curved white lines that allude to the boundaries of a sport court. Bright blues, purples and pinks speak to the energy and potential of the young adult community but also keep the program closely aligned to the Experian brand. These elements applied across a variety of mediums create a brand that’s eye-catching, memorable and meaningful — one that champions the importance of financial literacy and fosters a culture of partnership and innovation.
