Experian’s ​#IYKYK (If You Know, You Know) Pitch Competition ​is the main event under ​a ​broader Experian program called B.A.L.L. (Be A Legacy Leader​) for Life​. The branding we worked on for these programs that aim to teach financial literacy to young people in underserved communities brings the fun, competitive nature of sports into ​the financial education​ sphere. ​

The phrase behind the acronym B.A.L.L. takes a spin on a common sports term for being successful ​t​o challenge young people to​ start making smart financial decisions.​ Rough textures​ and colorful splashes​ reminiscent of urban street art are paired alongside curved white lines that allude to the boundaries of a sport court.​ Bright blue​s, purples and pink​s ​speak to the​ energy​ and potential of the young adult community but also​ keep the program closely aligned to the Experian brand. These elements applied across a variety of mediums create a brand that’s eye-catching, memorable and meaningful — one that champions the importance of financial ​literacy and ​fosters a culture of ​partnership and innovation.​
